What we do

Support and training

accro supports project leads in the cultural and creative industries as they structure and develop their activity.

Support workshop: participants standing, discussing in small groups

Tailored support, never a one-size-fits-all programme.

All our support is built around the project, how mature it is and its lead’s deadlines. It is aimed at creators, craftspeople, freelancers, collectives, studios and young companies in the cultural and creative industries, as well as student entrepreneurs, at every stage, from the first idea to consolidation. There are no requirements regarding length of activity or legal status.

Three formats

One-to-one sessions

Regular meetings to shape the project, choose a legal structure, build the application, identify available funding and meet the right people. At our premises or remotely.

Group workshops

Small-group sessions designed so that you leave with a working document you can use straight away. The season’s schedule is published in the events calendar.

Support for winners

Projects selected through the Tango&Scan call for projects receive dedicated support throughout their development.

More than ninety project leads have received one-to-one support over the last two campaigns.

Open access, no appointment needed

The resource centre

Some questions come up even before the first meeting: how does a project earn money, how do you present it out loud, how do you put together an application? Five practical guides answer them, with a concrete method and examples taken from the cultural and creative industries. They are designed to be read in order: clarify the model, put figures on it, learn to tell its story, then set it down in writing. A genuine starter kit, to work through at your own pace.

  1. 01 Building your business model Where the money that will sustain your project comes from, and which revenue streams to combine so you never depend on just one. Read the guide
  2. 02 The Business Model Canvas The tool’s nine building blocks explained one by one, with a completed CCI example in front of you. Read the guide
  3. 03 Building your financial forecast Income statement, funding plan, cash flow plan: moving from the model to the figures, over several years. Read the guide
  4. 04 Preparing your pitch A six-part structure for presenting a project out loud, adapted to the time you are given. Read the guide
  5. 05 Putting together an application The documents required, the countdown timeline, the de minimis rule, and the mistakes that sink an application. Read the guide

These guides do not replace a one-to-one session, they prepare you for it. A project lead who arrives with a model already clarified moves twice as fast in a meeting. Do your homework first, and we will go further together afterwards.

A four-step journey

  1. 1 An initial conversation Understanding the project, how far along it is and the difficulties encountered. This meeting is free and with no commitment.
  2. 2 Scoping accro proposes objectives, a programme, a format and a pace that suit you. The project lead approves them before work begins.
  3. 3 Tailored design The cases we work on are the project’s own, the references are drawn from its sector, and the tools can be reused independently.
  4. 4 A deliverable Each session results in a document bringing together what was produced and the method materials.

Formats range from a single session to a programme spread over several months.

Our partner network

accro draws on a network of partners to extend its support beyond its own remit. An agreement with EM Strasbourg opens La Ruche à Projets’ Booster programme to Tango&Scan applicants, whether or not they win, and coaches from the business school take part in our workshops.

The University of Strasbourg covers the application fees of student entrepreneurs applying to Tango&Scan; accro sits on the selection committee of PEPITE ETENA (the student entrepreneurship hub) and on the panels of local schools. Teams recognised at regional competitions and hackathons receive support in putting together their application.
