Weewio

Founded by Simon Lakhlef, a student entrepreneur in mechatronics at INSA Strasbourg, with Kévin Pétin, the start-up Weewio is developing, in partnership with interface designer Rémi Maringer (Bootnow), a smart, connected box that collects real-time data from a building’s fire safety system. This information is sent to the “Weewio Help” app, which firefighters can consult as soon as they set off, including from their vehicles, while “Weewio Vision” helps building operators update their data and receive advice on the actions to take. The project addresses a major challenge: every year in France, around 16,500 fires break out in business premises, and 70% of the companies affected close within the following months.
