Led by Skimlab in partnership with AV Lab, SoloMaker aims to build a mobile, self-contained system for producing 3D objects that folds into a suitcase, combining a 3D modelling tool developed by Skimlab with a purpose-built portable 3D printer. It is a genuinely portable “creation machine”, at a time when no complete system for designing, making and producing physical objects is yet available to the general public on the market.
