Sneakers éco-conçus

Led by eco-designer Anne-Sophie de Lafaye (W. Éco-Design/Cariven), in partnership with Charles-Julien Nivert, self-taught founder of the Make Your Grail workshop specialising in sneaker repair and customisation, the project imagines an eco-designed pair of sneakers. A sports shoe usually requires between 11 and 30 separate pieces, harmful glues and up to 8,000 litres of water, for an object that is very hard to recycle. Redesigned in 3D to reduce the number of pieces, the structural part is made from a single material printed from 100% recycled and recyclable yarn, while the second part is made from offcuts and upcycled textiles, through a short supply chain within the Eurometropolis of Strasbourg.
