Petit théâtre à histoire
Project lead NUN (Vincent Lamarche)
× Partner AVLAB (Julien Hermannn)
Led by NUN, a digital design studio and graphic craft workshop, in partnership with AV-Lab, the Petit Théâtre à Histoire is a finely engraved, hand-assembled wooden box that revisits local myths and legends, such as the tale of the Giants of Nideck Castle that inspired Tomi Ungerer. The wood and paper characters, which you stage yourself, then come to life through a smartphone app that adds a reading of the tale in French or in the regional language, special effects and animations. Designed as a meeting point between generations, the object aims to engage the motor and creative skills of children and adults alike, and to encourage intercultural and intergenerational exchange.
