Mélo : simples mélodies

Led by the Nancy designer Aurélie Marzoc with SOS Futur and L’Autre Canal, an accredited contemporary music venue, Mélo is a decorative home sound device that explores and questions the relationship between human beings and the plant kingdom, and its impact on their well-being. The project draws on the international scientific work of Joël Sternheimer, who from 1960 identified electrical activity emitted by plants and translated into frequencies, with certain kinds of music stimulating the proteins found in plants and having a positive effect on their health. The Mélo speaker, made in Nancy from carefully selected solid wood wardrobes, plays a soothing and stimulating musical composition designed for the sensitivity of plants.
