To increase the capacity of the electricity grid to integrate renewable energy and to ensure that these forms of generation are economically viable, production forecasting tools are becoming essential. Forkast is a project sizing and renewable energy production forecasting tool that makes it easier to manage consumption and storage according to the resource available. The project draws on a partnership with Meteoblue AG, a Swiss weather forecasting specialist, to make its prediction models more reliable.
