Elsassime box

Led by Farid Maniani (Tech4Gaia) and Armel Bahouka (FabLab Manipulse), with Uni-Vers-Abeille and IUT de Haguenau as partners, Elsassime Box (renamed Noehmi) is a modular, patent-pending control centre that connects to existing hives to monitor, support decision-making and act on the vitality of bees and their environment. The bee, an essential biomarker of a territory and responsible for a third of the world’s food, suffers mortality rates of between 30 and 80% a year in Europe. Using a set of sensors inside and outside the hive, the device enables beekeepers to save up to 80% of their time and costs while monitoring colony health and the environment.
