Founded by a doctor and a computer engineer, the Strasbourg start-up Elixir Health, in partnership with designer and medical illustrator Alice Carneau, is developing the first all-in-one platform for hospitals and clinics to manage the assisted reproduction (ART) pathway. ART pathways are long and complex, and their success rate remains low (around 30% per attempt), while the quality of the transferred embryo, a key success factor, is still assessed by eye by the biologist under the microscope. The platform digitises the medical record for patients and provides a monitoring interface for professionals, incorporating artificial intelligence that will use computer vision to help them choose the most viable embryo.
