Du Pin sur la planche

Led by the Strasbourg joinery Gris Bois, founded in 2019 by architects and joiners committed to reuse and local materials, in partnership with the publisher Éditions 2024, which specialises in illustrated books and comics, Du Pin sur la planche is a choose-your-own-path illustrated book that immerses readers in the world of furniture making. Through its branching narrative, the book questions our relationship with wood as a material, the industrialisation of forests, fast furniture and their consequences for landscapes and biodiversity, with the building of urban nest boxes for birds as its common thread. Each reader draws their own conclusions according to the choices they make along the way.
