Dessin animé scientifique

Scientific animation is a popular but under-used genre, for lack of skilled organisations to produce it. With this project, Renaud Chabrier and Alice Lafaye laid the foundations of a studio-laboratory able to respond to commissions, develop ambitious projects and keep pace with technical developments in the sector. They produced the pilot film “Microtubules”, an animated exploration of the inside of the body and its cells for the general public, as well as a new short film on cell division for secondary school pupils to complement their curriculum. The collaboration also enabled joint research and development work, opening up new possibilities for production and teaching, and led in 2026 to the creation of the Drawing Intelligence Laboratory, co-founded by the two partners.
