Curieuse Fabrique
A maker of decorative candles, La Curieuse Fabrique has overhauled its production tools to become more efficient without losing the richness of its craft know-how. The project focused on optimising the mould-making process, a key stage of production, by bringing in the work of designer Grégoire Ruault from the outset to better anticipate technical and aesthetic constraints. 3D printing makes it possible to produce made-to-measure moulds with great precision while considerably reducing their weight, allowing greater creative freedom. This technological development does not replace the human touch: once made, the moulds produce pieces that are still worked and finished by hand in the workshop, preserving the authenticity and craft quality of the candles.
