Led by AB Design Lab in partnership with BFG Environmental Technologies, the CARBIOSEP project is developing an innovative solution for the in situ biological treatment of toilet wastewater. Originally designed to improve the autonomy of trains and the competitiveness of the rail sector, the regenerable cartridges devised by the project are also being adapted for other uses: temporary urban toilets, maritime transport and more. With a total budget of €107,050, the project received a Tango grant of €14,900 from the Eurometropolis of Strasbourg.
