Bollywood Dance Tamasha

Led by the association Heads Up Entertainment (Avildseen Bheekhoo), which campaigns to make arthouse cinema more widely accessible through immersive concepts at the crossroads of live performance and events, together with the Culture Primate collective, Bollywood Dance Tamasha is a web series showcasing the talents of a group of young people from the priority neighbourhood of Woippy, in the Metz area, challenged to perform Indian choreographies. After training with choreographer Sanjay Khan, the participants competed in the spirit of a 1990s Indian TV talent show, with a panel of professionals judging each episode. Deliberately lightly scripted, the web series tells a story of transformation through artistic practice, moving away from the clichés associated with priority neighbourhoods and aiming to make the participants more self-reliant.
