Bibliothèques Sans Frontières – Interface de gestion d’ebooks à distance

Led by G.I.E. Access and Artemis - Librairie LDE, in partnership with Bibliothèques Sans Frontières, the Ideas Box is a pilot concept for a portable documentation and artistic expression centre that can be deployed in emergencies or humanitarian crises, particularly in refugee camps. It takes the form of four watertight flight cases, specially designed for the project and stackable on two pallets to make international transport easier. As it includes many digital tools (e-books, embedded software, e-readers, tablets and more), it required the design of interfaces to manage content and the device fleet, developed by LDE. The Ideas Box gives affected populations the means to read, write, create and communicate, offering access to the Internet, books, cinema, theatre and educational content.
