We responded to a challenge set by the Fédération Française d’Athlétisme: to energise Nordic walking and introduce it to a younger audience. Building on the enthusiasm generated by athletes such as Martin Fourcade, whose success has helped people discover and love his sport, we propose to develop equipment that transposes biathlon to Nordic walking. The system consists of a laser marker (a laser device whose shape is borrowed from MINECRAFT) and a flower fitted with a receiver activated by the laser, able to signal a hit and generate individual statistics.
