BANC REFUGE

Led by Philippe Riehling, an ecological designer hosted by the Artenreel cooperative, in partnership with Julien Hoffmann, a biodiversity and bio-resources consultant represented by the Antigone cooperative, and with the help of the company Sineu-Graff for its production, the Banc Refuge project creates an urban bench incorporating a shelter for insects. This multifunctional street furniture builds on the development of nature in the city and the extension of pedestrian zones: it offers pedestrians a place for a short rest, a refuge for insects at the foot of trees and an educational, informative feature. The project received a Tango grant of €17,500.
