AME Studio

Led by ViO Architectes, a firm specialising in prefabricated architecture, in partnership with Burger & Cie, a manufacturer and builder of timber-frame houses, the AME Studio project is developing a prototype of an optimised living unit with high-end design, entirely prefabricated in the factory. The first in a range of small homes ready to live in after a single day on site, the module can be used in many ways: a garden cottage for an elderly parent, office space, a workshop and so on, with interior fittings adapted to the intended function. With a total budget of €72,000, the project received a Tango grant of €20,000.
