Synovo Group, which publishes and sells Saphir, the benchmark management software for patient transport companies, used to manage more than 4,000 vehicles, is developing with Ambulances Taxi Gurly and Ambulances Donnenwirth the first platform for exchanging transport jobs between ambulance operators. Patient transport companies are struggling to optimise their rounds in the face of three concurrent trends: rising demand linked to an ageing population and the growth of home care, a national quota that caps the number of ambulances, and the increasing shift to outpatient care. The platform allows operators to exchange jobs, adjust their workload, reduce their carbon footprint and travel costs, and cut down on empty waiting time and delays.
